THE NEW THURSDAY NIGHT JAZZ SALON from LAAC

THE DECEMBER 10th LIVE STREAM CONCERT, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Pacific, will feature an amazing band with the wonderful jazz vocalist CATHY SEGAL-GARCIA!

Cathy has put together a fantastic group of musicians: OTMARO RUIZ on piano ~ CAREY FRANK on B3 ~ AARON SEFARTY on drums! This is a once-in-a-blue-moon concert! You will LOVE this!

Once you have bought the ticket, the password and viewing instructions will be either in your receipt, or will subsequently be emailed to you.

Once you have the password, you go back to the site, and click “Jazz Salon Live Stream: [your locality]”. It will then ask for the password.

The stream will start at 6:30, music at 7.

The Jazz Salon will also be streaming, at appropriate times (other time zones), in Japan, Australia, Germany and NYC. They will be hosted by a jazz instrumentalist or singer, and you can make comments and get communication in real time!

The New Jazz Salon is being designed from the ground up to bring you not only the highest quality video and audio, but a richer and more rewarding jazz experience. It will be shot like a TV show, with camera operators on three camera who love and understand jazz. They will work with a director to capture shots the bring you even closer to the artists, and the music. A pro audio engineer will be mixing each stream, so that you hear every instrument, and the singers sound like they are singing right to you.

TOP JAZZ ARTISTS

We are reaching out to the top jazz artists. As long as the pandemic makes air travel risky, we will draw from the best of L.A. artists to perform each week. In addition to the different lineups that we book, we are already in discussion with premier artists, you know well, for them to curate a Thursday each month, featuring music and artists that are most meaningful to them.

A JAZZ COOPERATIVE

The new Jazz Salon will be run like an artist cooperative. Once enough tickets are sold each week to cover the streaming expenses, any additional money will be split between the artists. There will be no profit getting in the way between your ticket purchase, and compensating your favorite artists.
